Rapid Lash: The Ultimate Test!

Hey girlies! So, my best friend has been raving non stop about this product called Rapid Lash. It's a lash serum that you put on at night and it is supposed to make your lashed grow longer and thicker within weeks (you can also use it on your over-plucked brows). Her eyelashes are admittedly much longer and thicker, she told me so many people have insisted that they must be fake. So, of course this intrigued me and now I want to give it a whirl. The price is about $60, depending on where you get it. Here in Canada that is the going price.
In order for me (and you!) to see the process of the product I am going to take photos of the process. I'm thinking 2 pictures a week for about 4 weeks. So, make sure you follow my blog to get updates on how its working to see if this is a product that you may like to try.

If You're in Canada you MUST read this post!

Today at Shoppers is their infamous 20X the points event, where if you spend 50 dollars or more in the store you receive 20X the Optimum points. BUT in addition to this, today you can decide whether you want to get 20X the points OR get a $20 gift card. So, if I spend 50 dollars I'll essentially get $70 worth of items. Thus, I finally get my Coralista blush! Check out the sale today if your in Canada. Happy Shopping!

I'll let you know what I end up picking up:)

Recent Wish List

Recently I've been trying to keep my spending to the minimum and maximize (attempting) my savings. I need to start saving my money for school and rent in the big city next September. BUT that doesn't mean I can't think about and browse items that I would like to save up for in the future. Here are some things that are pure, frivolous, and unapologetic wants.
 1. The Clarisonic Mia.
I have been wanting a Clarisonic for some time now, but the price has always stopped me from purchasing it. Although, the more inexpensive model here, the Mia, is much more affordable (although still quite pricey). It is supposed to give you the best of the best exfoliation, which is something, I admit, I do need to do more. I don't want to use hard, sharp scrubs on my face, so when I save up my pennies this is definitely an item I will purchase.

 2. Benefit's CORALista blush
I have never owned a Benefit blush before, but I think I will have to break my Benefit blush virginity with CORALista. In general I always seem to gravitate towards coral-y colours of makeup. I find it really compliments my blue eyes and medium/olive skin tone. I have been so close to buying this blush so many times but I have always stopped myself because I have so many other blushes. I have also been weary about the packaging. Albeit it's adorable, I travel a lot back and forth between mine my boyfriends place and the packaging doesn't seem very travel-friendly. But that's just a minor detail. Soon you will be mine CORALista!

3. Benefit's Eye Bright
Another Benefit product. I saw a youtube video on this particular product and ever since then I have been wanting it so so so bad. It works as an eye brightener (as the name suggests), but it also works as a great overall highlight for the face or under the brows. I don't live particularly close to a Sephora, but my Shoppers sells Benefit. Although when I went to go see if they had this product they didn't carry it. So this will have to go on my list for my next Sephora visit.
4. A Macbook Pro
My last item is not beauty related, but I had to include it because I want it sooooo bad. I have never owned an Apple computer. To my own dismay I have been unhappily using my HP laptop for years. It is slow, overheats, and just plain bad. For my birthday in July I am begging my parents and boyfriend to help pitch in so I can get one for school. I mean, if it's for school it's a NEED, right? Right? :)

Sweets with my Sweetie

For my boyfriend and I Valentine's Day is not about spending lots of money, or going out to eat at the most expensive restaurant, but about spending time together and showing how much we love each other. So, what's one of the best ways to show someone you care? SWEETS! My boyfriend and I spend Valentine's afternoon making and decorating Valentine's cupcakes. I love cupcakes because they are as cute as they are yummy.
Make everyday Valentine's day and grab your sweetie and get baking :)

Get Soft, Wavy, and Sexy Hair with NO heat

This is a super easy hairstyle that I have been using pretty much every other day. It is minimal effort and I get the most compliments with it and girls wondering how I did it. So hear it is...
First, shower the night before and wait until your hair is 75-85 percent dry. It just has a little bit of dampness to the touch. If your in a rush to hit the hay, you can speed up the process by roughly blow drying your hair on low heat.

Next, french braid your hair. Now, it doesn't have to be perfect and you don't need to be a pro. I actually just learned how to do it myself and I tough myself through watching youtube videos. Oh, what can't technology teach us? hehe
Then in the morning I take out my hair, flip it over and scrunch in a little bit of mouse, then spritz it with a medium-strong hold hairspray. This is the end result. Please excuse the sketchy mirror photos. My BF wasn't hear to take it for me.

If you want to add a bit more definition you can take a curling iron and curl a few random pieces. I didn't hear because I wanted a natural, beachy look. Let me know what you guys think. :)

Jennifer Aniston... Just Because

I just came across some pictures from Jennifer Aniston's Allure shoot. She looks simply amazing. She always looks so fresh, youthful, and glowing, and her style is so classic. Even more importantly she is so kind and funny in her interviews. A woman with true class.
I LOVE her makeup here and I think I'm going to give this look a try.
So...let us all just bask in her beauty.hehe :)

Spring Nail Polishes

I went through my nail polish collection and picked out a few colours that I think are perfect for spring. Looking at them all together kind of reminds me of Easter eggs, which couldn't be more perfect for the spring time! Enjoy!
